IT’S FAIR TO say that scrums in rugby league aren’t as contested as their union equivalent but that still doesn’t give you any excuse to pack down with the opposition.

That’s what Sam Thaiday, captain of the Brisbane Broncos, did today as his side fought their way to a 16-11 win over the Canterbury Bulldogs.
