Mount Leinster Rangers are through to the decider on St Patrick’s Day, but who is going to join them? Portumna and Na Piarsaigh will battle for that right in the second semi-final, which is coming up at 5pm in Semple Stadium in Thurles.

Here’s the Na Piarsaigh team:

NA PIARSAIGH: Padraic Kennedy; Kieran Breen, Cathal King, Michael Casey; James O’Brien, David Breen, Niall Buckley; Alan Dempsey, William O’Donoghue; Kieran Kennedy, Kevin Downes, David Dempsey; Kevin Ryan, Shane Dowling, Ronan Lynch.

And here’s the Portumna team:

PORTUMNA: Joe Keane; Conor O’Hare, Eugene McEntee, Gareth Heagney; Martin Dolphin, Michael Ryan, Eoin Lynch; Leo Smith, Andrew Smith, Kevin Hayes, Damien Hayes, Ollie Canning; Ronan O’Meara, Joe Canning, Niall Hayes.

Young exciting forward Ronan Lynch is into the Na Piarsaigh team for injury victim Adrian Breen. Elsewhere Kieran Kennedy replaces Pat Gleeson in their side.

We’re getting set for the throw-in at Semple Stadium.

Portumna 0-1 Na Piarsaigh 0-0: 2 mins – Plenty of early drama. Ronan O’Meara sweeps over a point for Portumna before Kevin Downes nearly hits a goal for Na Piarsaigh but the ball knocks against the post and is cleared.

Three wides so far for Na Piarsaigh.

Portumna 1-2 Na Piarsaigh 0-3: 12 mins – But the attacking star of this game so far is young Ronan O’Meara. The Portumna corner-forward has hit all 1-2 of his side’s total with his latest point coming after Niall Hayes broke a raking pass by Joe Canning into his path.

Portumna 1-2 Na Piarsaigh 0-4: 12 mins – A Dowling free leaves the minimum between them again.

Portumna 1-3 Na Piarsaigh 0-4: 17 mins – Na Piarsaigh have a few chances to clear their lines but they fail to do so and the ball is ferried back out to Ollie Canning who taps over a simple point.

Portumna 1-11 Na Piarsaigh 0-11: 45 mins – That’s a fine opportunist point by Kevin Hayes to stretch Portumna’s lead to three.

Portumna 1-12 Na Piarsaigh 0-11: 47 mins – Some daylight between the teams now as Joe Canning arcs over a sideline cut.

Portumna 1-13 Na Piarsaigh 0-11: 50 mins – Hard to see Portumna squandering this lead now as they go five clear through a Joe Canning free.

Substitute: Brian Hartnett is on for Na Piarsaigh for David Dempsey with John Madden also on for them instead of James O’Brien.

Penalty for Na Piarsaigh after John Madden is fouled.
