THE PERFORMANCES OF the US men’s team at the recent World Cup in Brazil are sure to have spiked a new-found interest in ‘soccer’ in the States, as sports fans realise that their country can compete on the international stage.

While the lure of two of the sport’s most famous brands obviously played the major role in attracting such an attendance, the figure offers fresh encouragement for football organisers in the States.

The game was played at Michigan Stadium – also known as ’The Big House’ - home of the University of Michigan Wolverines.
