IRISH GOLFER SEAMUS Power has recorded a bogey-free first round at the Sanderson Farms Championhip in Mississippi to shoot to the top of the leaderboard.

The 29-year-old, who represented Team Ireland alongside Padraig Harrington at this summer’s Olympic Games, is tied with fellow PGA Tour rookie Trey Muillinax after shooting a seven-under-par 65 today.

Waterford native Power only secured his PGA Tour scorecard in August and made his debut at the Safeway Open in California earlier this month, where he missed the cut by one shot.
