THE LONG-RUNNING saga over Seanie Johnston’s transfer from Cavan Gaels to St Kevin’s has ended, as the move has been approved by the Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC), according to reports.
A tweet by KFM Sport, a local Kildare radio station, suggested the move had finally gone through.
Johnston had been hoping to make the move since falling out of favour with Cavan manager Val Andrews late last year, but the transfer hit a stumbling block when the CCCC ruled that the player was ineligible to make the move.
However, an appeal against the CCCC’s the decision ultimately proved successful, leaving the player free to make the move to St Kevin’s.
