The latest movie in our series looks at the story of snowboarder Kevin Pearce.

Title: The Crash Reel

Released: June 2013

Tagline: The mind has mountains.

Plot: The film looks at the relationship between Shaun White and Kevin Pearce, childhood friends who become number one and two in the world leading up to the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

The two drove each other into trying ever more dangerous tricks, until Pearce crashed on a Park City half-pipe, barely surviving. As he recoverd from the injury, he had to watch White win gold. Now all Pearce wants to do is get on his snowboard again, even though medics and family fear this could kill him.
