STADE FRANCAIS’ TOP 14 Final win over Clermont on Saturday night may just have been one epic snoozefest for those of us watching at home.
But for the Stade players, the title win was a signal for one thing and one thing only:
SLIP ‘N’ SLIDE!
However, when 110kg prop Rabah Slimani jettisoned himself down the hall down the drenched floor, he clearly misjudged the momentum he’d pick up. And so it came to pass that Slimani careered directly in to the Bouclier de Brennus and sent it crashing to the floor to break Laurent Sempéré’s fall.
Way to look after the thing you’ve been working for all season, Laurent!
We will say this in defence of Slimani, Davit Kubriashvili did some excellent curling-style sweeping to minimise the friction on his team-mate’s way to the Bouclier.
