DANIEL STURRIDGE, HE scores when he’s fit…

The striker reminded Liverpool fans just what they’ve been missing as Jurgen Klopp’s side came from a goal down to beat Southampton 6-1.

The Reds trailed 1-0 to this Sadio Mane goal after just 40 seconds of tonight’s Capital One Cup quarter-final.

But Sturridge, making his first start since 4 October, scored two goals in four minutes and Divock Origi went one better with a hat-trick as they booked their place in the final four.

Liverpool’s opener came in the 26th minute when Sturridge latched on to Joe Allen’s pass and cut back inside to equalise:

His second goal was even better, coming after Emre Can’s neat footwork and pinpoint pass left him to side-foot past Maarten Stekelenburg:

Divock Origi got a touch on Alberto Moreno’s shot to give Liverpool a 3-1 advantage on the stroke of half-time:

Origi then made it 4-1 with a thumping finish in the 68th minute:
