Tipp and Dublin name their sides ahead of the championship weekend action.

1. #COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS Paul Doolin yesterday named his squad for the the U-19 European Championships.

But the Dubliner revealed that communication issues aren’t limited to the senior set-up. Doolin says he has lost contact with the team’s former captain,  Manchester United winger Robbie Brady.

3. #GOLF We learned last night that Tiger Woods would sit out the British Open through injury. Pádraig Harrington that the absence of the former world No 1, piles the pressure on Rory McIlroy.

The Holywood man is now 6-1 favourite.

4. #GAA Offaly senior football manager Tom Cribbin says the Faithful were willing to switch the date of their qualifier this week to avoid Limerick’s football and hurling teams playing matches on the same day.

Treaty fans were denied a double-header when the GAA released details of this weekend’s schedule.

5. #MUNSTER Tipperary have made just a single change for their Munster SHC final with Waterford this Sunday. Paddy Stapleton returns from injury for the Páirc Uí Chaoimh clash, at right corner back.

6. #SPECIAL OLYMPICS Our Games heroes were welcomed back to the capital yesterday. Hundreds of family and friends crowded into Dublin Airport as the athletes touched down.

Eamon Fennell replaces Michael Dara MacAuley for Dublin ahead of their Leinster final with Wexford meanwhile. MacAuley broke his finger in the win over Kildare.
