Tyrone win in minor decider

Red Hand lift Tom Markham Cup for the eighth time in history.

TYRONE SURVIVED A late Cork comeback in the All-Ireland Minor Football Championship final at Croke Park, 1-13 to 1-12 the final score.

The Red Hand took a 1-5 to 0-0 lead early on with a Harry Óg Conlon goal, but the rebels fought back to trail just 1-6 to 0-5 at half time. Kevin Hallissey scored with ten minutes remaining but Tyrone were just about able to hold on for a one point lead.
