Un'appy 'Arry: crunch Stoke-Man City game should be moved, says Spurs boss

It’s complicated but… if Stoke lose the FA Cup final, they’d take a European spot should Man City seal Champions League place. And they meet after the Wembley showdown.

HARRY REDKNAPP HAS this afternoon urged the English FA to bring forward Manchester City’s rearranged date with Stoke City.

The game was initially set for 14 May but after the sides booked their places in the FA Cup final that day, it has been moved to 17 May.

A victory or draw for Stoke win would help Spurs in their battle with Manchester City to qualify for the Champions League through their top-flight position.

But, intriguingly, the Potters will qualify for Europe as FA Cup runners-up if Manchester City finish in the top four. Got that?

“I think they [the authorities] should look at it,” said Redknapp.

“The chairman spoke to me last night about it. We feel it should be changed – but it’s a bit out of my hands.”

More pressingly, Spurs face Arsenal in a North London derby tomorrow night.
