YAYA TOURE COULD be heading for the Manchester City exit door, with the midfielder reportedly unhappy with his contract situation.
The Ivorian is believed to be frustrated that no progress has been made over extending his deal with the club, which still has two years to run. Toure played a key role in City’s Premier League title winning campaign last season and certainly would not be short of options if he is to move on.
If no new agreement is reached by Saturday, the Ivorian may consider a move away from the Etihad Stadium, according to reports in The Sun newspaper.
Agent Dimitri Seluk has revealed Toure’s frustration that talks over a new deal appear to have stalled in the last six months. The 29-year-old reportedly feels he does not have the full respect of City’s playing and coaching staff — believing only manager Roberto Mancini fully values him.
Toure is one of the top earners in world football — commanding a reported weekly salary of £220,000, and the former Barcelona star is not understood to be seeking a pay rise.
