USA destroy hapless Angola to secure Q/F berth

Quest for first World Championship since 1994 rumbles on.

TEAM USA PRODUCED the best performance of the tournament so far to confidently dispatch Angola at the FIBA World Championships in Turkey.

Chauncey Billups of the Denver Nuggets was again the star with 19 points as the USA notched up a score of 121 to Angola’s 66. Kevin Durant, Rudy Gay and Eric Gordon all pointed seventeen to help the Americans on their way to the a quarter final against either Russia or New Zealand.
