WATCH: Donegal's Kevin Cassidy leads the homecoming celebrations

He’s a big Depeche Mode fan, dontcha know. ..

WHEN YOU’VE WAITED 19 years to celebrate an Ulster title, you have to make sure that you do it in style.

A mass of jubilant green-and-gold clad supporters lined the streets of Donegal town on Sunday night to welcome home Jim McGuinness and the county’s senior footballers, proudly showing off the Anglo-Celt Cup which they had won by 1-11 to 0-08 against Derry in Clones.

The Donegal boss was on the other side of the touchline the last time the Tír Conaill men tasted victory in Ulster back in 1992. But on Sunday, he slotted perfectly into his new role, alongside captain Michael Murphy at the head of the parade which was led through the crowds by the Donegal Town Community Band.

The show was stolen, however, by wing-back Kevin Cassidy who treated the crowd to his rendition of Depeche Mode’s 1981 hit, Just Can’t Get Enough.

Expect news of an official release to follow shortly.
