3 changes for Waterford minor team to face Kilkenny in All-Ireland semi-final

The teams meet at 1.30pm in Croke Park on Sunday afternoon.

WATERFORD HAVE MADE three changes for Sunday’s Electric Ireland All-Ireland minor hurling semi-final against Kilkenny in Croke Park.

The Deise were convincing victors over Antrim in their All-Ireland quarter-final tie as they bounced back from their Munster final replay defeat to Limerick.

But they have shaken up their team for this game with Tom Devine, Adam Farrell and Colm Roche all coming into the starting line-up.

Devine starts at midfield, Farrell is named at wing-foward while Roche is selected at centre-forward. There is one positional change as a result of Devine’s introduction with Micheal Harney switching to right half-back.

The players to make way are Sam O’Neill, Paul O’Connor and Cormac Curran.

Waterford will be hoping their full-forward line can shine once more after Stephen Bennett, Patrick Curran and Michael Kearney struck 4-10 between them in that win over Antrim.

WATERFORD: Gavin Power (Dungarvan); William Hahessy (Clonea), Kevin Daly (Dungarvan), Cian Leamy (Ballyduff Upper); Micheal Harney (Bonmahon), Austin Gleeson (Mount Sion), Shane Bennett (Ballysaggart), Mark O’Brien (Ferrybank), Tom Devine (Modeligo); Adam Farrell (De La Salle), Colm Roche (Shamrocks), DJ Foran (Portlaw); Patrick Curran (Dungarvan), Stephen Bennett (Ballysaggart), Michael Kearney (Ballyduff Upper).
