Cracking volley to the net by Wicklow's Dean Odlum lights up O'Byrne Cup clash

Wicklow defeated Carlow IT in their seasonal opener yesterday.

WICKLOW GOT THEIR 2014 O’Byrne Cup campaign off to a winning start at Ashford yesterday when they defeated IT Carlow by 1-9 to 0-11.

The crucial score arrived in the opening half by Dean Odlum as he grabbed the only goal of the game.

A cracking strike it was too as he did brilliantly to seize on a rebound and volley the ball to the roof of the net.
