ZINEDINE ZIDANE SPENT close to two decades making fools of defenders with his classy, intelligent play for Cannes, Bordeaux, Juventus and Real Madrid, but now the master has received a taste of his own medicine. In a small game of piggy-in-the-middle at Real training, Xabi Alonso played a lovely one-touch, no look pass between the Frenchman’s legs for a nutmeg.

Zidane is currently working as an assistant coach to Carlo Ancelotti at the Spanish outfit, having previously performed a variety of other roles for the club. His most recent job was Sporting Director in Madrid, but at the start of this season the legendary World Cup winner decided that he could contribute more on the training pitch.

Is Zizou finally slowing down at 41?
