WITH NO EUROPEAN or FA Cup fixtures this week, Liverpoool manager Jurgen Klopp has taken his players for a warm weather mid-season training camp in La Manga this week.
Among the 27-man Reds squad over in Spain is Ireland Dublin teenager Conor Masterson.
The 18-year-old, who has been with the Premier League club since joining from Lucan United back in 2012, is the current captain of Liverpool’s U18s side.
It’s 12 months since he was named on the the bench for the first time in an FA Cup tie with Exeter, and although he is still waiting to make his senior debut, the centre-half has lined out for their U23s.
Masterson has been progressing well at international level too, where he skippers the U19s.
