REAL MADRID BOSS Rafael Benitez dodged questions surrounding David De Gea and the Manchester United goalkeeper’s potential move to the Bernabeu yesterday.
De Gea is yet to feature for United this season, having been dropped in favour of summer signing Sergio Romero.
Goal understands that United have given up hope of persuading De Gea to stay at Old Trafford, with the stopper having informed the club of his desire to leave, but Benitez remained coy after Real defeated Galatasaray 2-1.
Real signed Kiko Casilla from Espanyol in July, while the former Liverpool boss picked Keylor Navas to play against the Turkish side, and Benitez has praised his goalkeeping options.
Asked about De Gea, the Spaniard said: “Keylor had a great game. I have very good goalkeepers.
“I’m delighted with all three of them and I’ll be working with them to the full.”
De Gea is yet to even sit on the bench for United this season.
