De La Salle will play Lismore in the Waterford SHC relegation playoff.

TWO-TIME MUNSTER hurling champions De La Salle are facing a relegation battle in Waterford.

The club, home of senior Déise stars Kevin Moran and Jake Dillon, were beaten 1-18 to 1-7 by Fourmilewater this evening.

Provincial champions in 2008 and 2010, and county champions as recently as 2012, the defeat confirms their place in the senior relegation playoff.

They will meet Lismore who were beaten by Mount Sion, 0-21 to 3-10.

The draw for the quarter-finals has also been confirmed including a repeat of last year’s county final, with holders Ballygunner facing Mount Sion.
