A former Stoke City player conjured a moment of genius in the MLS play-offs last night

Juan Agudelo channeled his inner-Wayne Rooney during the New England Revolution’s clash with DC United.

JUAN AGUDELO JOINED Stoke City in 2014 but never played a game for the Potters after they were unsuccessful in obtaining a work permit for the attacker.

So, the Colombian-born US international returned to MLS after a stint on loan with Dutch side Utrecht.

And he’s done well in his first season back, scoring seven goals in the regular season.

The Revs qualified for the play-offs but crashed out last night, losing 2-1 to DC United.

But Agudelo had put his side in front after 15 minutes, flinging himself in the air to crash a superb bicycle kick to the far corner.

It is well worth a look.
