Meath football boss to stay in charge for another year

Martin Ennis will also return as hurling boss.

MEATH GAA HAVE confirmed that senior manager Mick O’Dowd is staying on for another year, while Martin Ennis will return as hurling boss

A statement issued on Twitter this evening read: “Meath County Board appoints Mick O’Dowd Football and Martin Ennis Hurling as senior managers 2016.”

O’Dowd’s side crashed out of the 2015 Leinster Senior Football Championship at the semi-final stage earlier in the summer, as a stunning comeback saw rivals Westmeath triumph 3-19 to 2-18.

They then lost out 0-11 to 1-10 against Tyrone in an All-Ireland Round 2 Qualifier.
