NOT THAT WE’RE counting or anything, but UFC 189 is now just 27 days away.
The main event will see UFC featherweight world champion Jose Aldo defend his belt against Ireland’s Conor McGregor at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
During last night’s UFC 188 in Mexico City, the Ultimate Fighting Championship aired two new promos for the fight, which have added to the massive anticipation levels ahead of a bout which is being billed as one of the biggest in UFC history.
According to the UFC president Dana White, the organisation has spent more money promoting the UFC 189 headliner than on any other fight before.
The UFC’s investment certainly seems to have paid off when it comes to building the hype. According to reigning flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, McGregor versus Aldo is set to be “the biggest fight ever”.
