CORK CITY HAVE announced Scottish midfielder Archie Meekison as their first signing since their return to the League of Ireland Premier Division.
The 24-year-old has plenty of League of Ireland experience, having played 46 league games in the last two seasons with Bohemians and Sligo Rovers.
It marks a quick return to the top flight for Meekison, who suffered relegation with the Bit O’Red in 2026.
Meekison started his career at Dundee United, where he came through the academy, and also played for Falkirk, Cove Rangers and The Spartans before arriving in Ireland.

Last week, Cork extended the contract of manager Barry Robson, keeping the Scottish manager at the club until 2028.
Meekison is the first signing since his new deal was agreed, with Robson promising some contract renewals and more new additions to the squad in a statement last week.
