Juan Martin Hernandez misses out as Argentina make three changes for Ireland

Head coach Daniel Hourcade has named his Pumas team for Saturday.

VETERAN OUT-HALF JUAN Martin Hernandez has been ruled out of Argentina’s Guinness Series clash against Ireland on Saturday through injury, with Daniel Hourcade making three changes to his starting team.

35-year-old Hernandez failed to recover from a knee injury he sustained during last week’s win over Italy in time to be involved at the Aviva Stadium.

Nicolas Sanchez, the former Toulon out-half who kicked nine out of 10 during the 2015 World Cup quarter-final between the sides, starts at out-half with Martin Landajo named at scrum-half.

The two changes in the backline see Matías Moroni come in for Matías Orlando and Ramiro Moyano take the place of Sebastián Cancelliere on the wing.

Up front, Juan Manuel Leguizamon drops out with Tomas Lezana deputising in the second row.

Saturday’s game is the final fixture of Argentina’s long season with the Pumas hoping to end it on a high with a first victory over Ireland in Dublin.
