If you like superb free-kick routines, you'll love this absolute gem

This was brilliantly thought-out and executed by Notts County Ladies in their clash with Arsenal.

WHEN A PRE-PLANNED free-kick routine comes together perfectly, it’s not only a feel-good moment for the players involved but pretty satisfying for those watching too.

We’ve seen the routine before. Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney (who love a pre-planned set-piece) combined against Blackburn but the striker’s delivery wasn’t the greatest and the Rovers defence did its job.

Still, when we talk about great free-kick routines a couple spring to mind. There’s the classic donkey-flick from Willie Carr that Ernie Hunt then volleyed to the net for Coventry against Everton in 1970.

And how about this brilliant strike from Denis Law? Superb.
