Meanwhile, Scotstown have also returned to the county final in Monaghan.

LAST UPDATE | 4 Oct

Monaghan SFC Semi-Finals

  • Scotstown 1-18 Inniskeen Grattans 3-9
  • Truagh Gaels 4-16 Clontibret O’Neills 2-19

Scotsotwn and Truagh Gaels will contest the 2026 Monaghan SFC final after their respective semi-final victories today.

The Ulster champions Scotstown continued their county four-in-a-row bid against Inniskeen as they progressed to a 14th consecutive senior decider.

A first-half goal from James Hamill put Scotstown in a strong position, but Inniskeen responded as Andrew Woods struck for a goal just before half-time to send both sides into the dressing room at 1-7 apiece.

Woods added a second goal from a penalty to edge his side into a three-point lead at the start of the second half.

Scotstown were six points clear when Conor Jones supplied Inniskeen’s third goal, and a subsequent point from Seán Jones brought the difference back to two with time almost up. But Max Maguire responded for Scotstown to ease his side back into the final.

Truagh Gaels edged out a six-goal thriller with Clontibret to advance and set up a repeat of the 2021 final against Scotstown.

Clontibret held a 1-13 to 2-7 lead at the break. Brian Greenan struck the net for Clontibret while Truagh’s goals came from James McKenna and a Chrissy Mc Kenna penalty.

Truagh had their third goal of the game inside the first five minutes of the second half, courtesy of Gary Mohan before Aaron Carey gave Clontibret a 2-13 to 3-7 lead from the penalty spot.

Caolain Tracey grabbed a fourth goal for Truagh to level the game in the 39th minute as they gradually took control of the tie. Luke McKenna kicked an important two-pointer and was on target again to help seal the win and send Truagh into the final.

Roscommon SFC Semi-Final

  • St Brigid’s 3-22 Strokestown 2-8

Defending Roscommon champions and All-Ireland finalists St Brigid’s were too strong for Strokestown as they returned to the county decider with an emphatic win.

Ben O’Carroll bagged a brace of goals while his brother Charlie provided the other green flag in a dominant second-half display. There was just one point between the teams at half-time thanks to a Seán McDonnell goal and a Shane McGinley penalty to keep Strokestown in contention at 2-3 to 0-10.

But the holders pulled away in the second half to book a senior county final meeting with Pádraig Pearses who they dethroned last year after a replay.

Last year’s finalists needed extra-time to defeat Boyle by 5-22 to 2-27.

Tyrone SFC Semi-Final

  • Errigal Ciarán 0-19 Loughmacrory 1-13

2025 All-Ireland finalists Errigal Ciarán have overcome defending champions Loughmacrory to seal their place in the Tyrone senior football final.

Errigal Ciarán were 0-10 to 0-6 in front at half-time and a point from Shea McDermott pushed them into a nine-point lead coming into the final 10 minutes of the second half.

Loughmacrory fought hard to keep their title as Oisin O’Kane converted a two-point free before Pearse McDonald scored a goal to cut the gap to four. But the champions couldn’t rein in the challengers as Darragh Canavan was among the scorers to help Errigal Ciarán move on to the final.

They will go on to meet Edendork who booked a place in their first-ever senior final following a 0-20 to 0-12 win over Donaghmore on Saturday night.

Donegal SFC Semi-Final

  • Naomh Conaill 0-22 Glenswilly 0-19 (After extra-time)

Defending champions Naomh Conaill edged out an extra-time epic with Glenswilly to return to the Donegal senior football final where they will take on St Eunan’s.

Glenswilly looked to be on course for a place in the final when they went into half-time with a 0-1o to 0-6 lead. They extended that lead to six points in the early stages of the second half, but the champions battled back as Ciarán Thompson kicked a brilliant point in the dying moments to force extra-time.

A superb two-point free from Shea Malone, and another point from play helped Naomh Conaill shake off Glenswilly’s challenge and get back to the final. They will be facing a St Eunan’s side who defeated last year’s finalists Gaoth Dobhair in the other semi-final on Saturday by 2-18 to 1-19.

Mayo SFC Semi-Final

  • Garrymore 2-16 Belmullet 2-15 (After extra-time)

GARRYMORE HAVE REACHED the Mayo senior football final for the first time since 1982 after an extra-time battle against Belmullet.

The game ended in a frantic finish as Fionn O’Donoghue scored his second goal of the afternoon to leave Belmullet trailing by just one point with time almost up. But Garrymore survived to book their place in the decider where they will face Castlebar Mitchels, who defeated Breaffy in the other semi-final on Saturday.

Garrymore were down by one point at the end of normal time but Trevor Nally produced a crucial score to send the game to extra-time on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-14.

Mark Gibbons and Gary Golden accounted for Garrymore’s goals in the second half while O’Donoghue provided Belmullet’s first major of the game in the 47th minute.

There was little to separate the sides throughout the contest as Belmullet held a narrow 0-9 to 0-8 lead at half-time.

And Garrymore prevailed by just one point in the end, with Mayo All-Ireland winners Eoin McGreal and Enda Hession both contributing scores on the way to ending a 44-year wait for a county senior final appearance.
