WHILE RORY MCILROY prepared to take on close friend Shane Lowry , and ultimately lose, in World Golf Championships Match Play in Arizona yesterday, his other half was over 8,000 miles away meeting a football great.

Diego Maradona joined the Dane courtside at the WTA Dubai Tennis Championships as the pair exchanged a sign jersey and racket.
