But then Griffin and Nike threw the sneaker world a curve when he opened the season wearing the Jordan Super.Fly.
It wasn’t until several days after the season started that the official Twitter account for the Jordan Brand sent out the image below, welcoming Griffin to the brand Michael Jordan made famous.
Griffin joins teammate Chris Paul, as well as Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony on Team Jordan. But with Dwyane Wade leaving the Jordan Brand this summer, it will be Griffin, who led the NBA in dunks last season, who will be the most prominent face. And it is a perfect match for the high-flying Griffin.
