David Moyes set to be sacked for second time in eighteen months

The former Manchester United boss has found the going tough at Real Sociedad.

DAVID MOYES WILL be sacked by Real Sociedad once he arrives back in San Sebastian either tonight or tomorrow, according to the latest reports.

The club lost their sixth game of the season on Friday night – a 2-0 defeat away to Las Palmas.

The Scot arrived at the La Liga side on 10th October last year and he led them to a 12th-place finish – the highlight being a 1-0 win over Luis Enrique’s Barcelona in January.

Still, there was pressure to improve this term, especially considering they spent substantial funds on some new acquisitions including Asier Illarramendi.

But things haven’t got better and with Sociedad having picked up just nine points from eleven league games so far, the board have lost patience and Moyes is facing a second sacking inside eighteen months.

It was late-April 2014 when his 51-game spell in charge of Manchester United came to an end and the 52-year-old is now facing up to losing another job.

From 42 games as Sociedad boss, Moyes has overseen just twelve victories and with a win percentage of just 29%, his performance has been deemed not good enough by the club’s top brass.
