What happened when Derry City took on the Crossbar Challenge

Here’s the good, the bad and the ugly (we’re looking at you Thomas McMonagle).

PRE-SEASON TRAINING can be a little bit of a chore. How many hill runs and shuttle sprints do you really need to do anyway?

Derry City’s players livened things up by taking on the crossbar challenge with varying degrees of success.

We won’t spoil the fun by telling you who made it and who didn’t but we have to draw your attention to Thomas McMonagle’s “attempt”.

First he tries to gain a sneaky few yards with the casual-roll-the-ball-over-the-line trick before he gets called out on it by his team-mates.

Then, clearly rattled, he shanks his shot appallingly wide:
