Dublin County Board chairman denies attacking Leinster Rugby in jersey row
DUBLIN COUNTY BOARD Chairman Andy Kettle has rubbished claims that they were upset about Leinster’s alleged “subliminal exploitation” of the team’s “unique sporting hue”.
Speaking on Newstalk show Off the Ball, Kettle points out that their newly released development plan never mentions Leinster directly.
In response to the claims, he said:
The plan refers to Dublin having to compete with a “flourishing professional franchise” wearing blue, however Kettle denied that this was a reference to Leinster.
When asked to suggest who specifically the plan was referring to, Kettle simply stated that “if somebody takes it as an interpretation of Leinster, it certainly would not be mine”.
