Cork and Dundalk kept apart in EA Sports Cup semi-final draw

The Leesiders are away to Shamrock Rovers, while Stephen Kenny’s men meet Galway United.

THE EA SPORTS Cup semi-final draw has been made this evening.

SSE Airtricity League leaders Cork City and current champions Dundalk have been kept apart for the last-four ties, which will be played on Monday, 7 August.

Cork have been handed a trip to Tallaght to face Shamrock Rovers, while the Lilywhites are away to 2015 finalists Galway United.

Dundalk, who defeated the Hoops in the 2014 final, are the last of the four remaining clubs to have won the competition, with St Patrick’s Athletic enjoying back-to-back triumphs in the past two years.
