Introducing Everton’s new signing Gerard Deulofeu in 17 goals

The Spanish starlet has moved to Goodison Park on a season-long loan from Barcelona. Woof.

EVERTON HAVE SIGNED Spanish starlet Gerard Deulofeu on a season-long loan from Barcelona.

The 19-year-old, who can play either on the wing or in behind the striker, came up through Barca’s famed La Masia academy and has represented Spain at every underage grade from U17 to U21.

“Gerard is a real diamond of Spanish football and a boy with incredible footballing talent,” Toffees boss Roberto Martinez said today. “I am delighted that he has chosen to take the next step of his career with Everton.”

Deulofeu scored 18 goals for Barcelona “B” in the Liga Adelante last season. Here are most of his best bits:
