WHEN LEICESTER CITY drew with West Brom last night there were fears that the Premier League table-toppers missed a golden opportunity to consolidate their lead ahead of their title rivals taking to the field tonight.
But it was a great night for Foxes fans and all the neutrals who have jumped on the bandwagon; Arsenal lost 2-1 to Swansea at the Emirates, Tottenham fell to a 1-0 defeat at West Ham and Manchester City were thumped 3-0 at Anfield by Liverpool.
Just when everyone expected Manchester City to kick on in the title race, following their League Cup victory on Sunday, they were back to their old stumbling selves in the Premier League.
Leicester remain three points clear of Spurs, who could have gone top with a win tonight, six clear of Arsenal and 10 clear of City, although Manuel Pellegrini’s side still have a game in hand.
It was also a memorable night for Manchester United as a 1-0 win at home against Watford, thanks to an exquisite free-kick from Juan Mata, helped them gain ground in the race for a top-four finish.
