Happy Halloween: Here's 7 sports injuries that sent us crying for our mammy

CAUTION: We’re not messing. Some of these are really hard to watch.

THINGS THAT GO bump in the night are bad enough, but things that go bump and then crunch on a sports field make are much more terrifying.

Here are just some of the hits and tackles that made us think twice about sleeping with the lights off.

Montreal Canadiens Trent McCleary took a puck to the the throat. He went down, obviously. And was in tremendous pain, obviously, as the slap-shot had collapsed his windpipe.
