TV camera pans to Man United loanee James Wilson just at the wrong moment

The poor lad looks a bit worse for wear.

MANCHESTER UNITED STRIKER James Wilson is currently trending on social media for all the wrong reasons.

He was earlier the topic of conversation when Louis van Gaal opted to recall Will Keane from his loan spell at Preston rather than call upon Wilson, with many Man United fans perplexed at the manager’s decision.

The 20-year-old has scored twice during his time at Brighton and has made a largely positive impression on the south coast.

But he hasn’t had the best start to 2016.

As the Sky Sports cameras panned to Wilson ahead of this afternoon’s Championship game between Brighton and Wolves, the forward chose the most unfortunate moment to vomit on the pitch.

Warning: The following footage doesn’t make for pleasant viewing, particularly if you yourself are nursing a New Year’s hangover.

We know what you’re all thinking. The young lad was out celebrating the turn of the year and had one too many the night before a big game. Completely unprofessional.

But the truth of the story is that Wilson had been unwell all week and had been struck down with a virus – and he certainly looks worse for wear.

Things haven’t gone much better for his side with Connor Goldson’s calamitous own goal handing Wolves all three points.

In happier, and healthier, times.
