Cork, Kerry, Waterford and Tipperary ring changes for Munster minor semi-finals

The last four provincial clashes take place tonight.

MICHAEL HURLEY HAS been drafted into the Cork minor football team for their Electric Ireland Munster MFC semi-final tie against Tipperary tonight.

Hurley, a younger brother of Cork senior Brian who starred for the county U21 team this year, is named at left corner-forward by manager Ephie Fitzgerald.

He replaces Aidan Moynihan in the only change from the side that defeated Kerry by 3-6 to 0-10 in their opening round replay in Tralee at the end of April.

There is one positional change to the team as Jack Bushe comes out to wing-forward with Richard O’Sullivan moving in to start at corner-forward.

Here’s the Cork team for the clash against the Premier county which takes place in Semple Stadium at 7.30pm.

There are three changes to the Tipperary team for the game. The Premier got the better of Clare in their only tie to date with corner-back Michael Connolly and the wing-forward pair of Paul Shanahan and Ciaran Lowry the newcomers to their line-up.

The three players to make way are James Feehan, Mark Russell and Michael Meagher.

Kerry make three changes for their Munster MFC semi-final tie against Waterford tonight. Cian O’Connor, who comes in at midfield to partner Kieran Murphy, and Michéal Burns who starts at wing forward, were both introduced in their last game against Clare.

Eanná Ó Conchúir returns from injury at full-forward for the game that takes place in Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney at 7pm. Kevin Shanahan, Conor Jordan and Shane O’Connor are the players to lose out with all three players dropping to the bench.

Among the positional changes are David Foran moving from wing forward to wing back while Greg Horan goes in the opposite direction from the half back line to centre forward. Here’s the Kerry side that has been named by manager Mickey Ned O’Sullivan.

Waterford have made two changes for the game with Michael Shine coming into their team at right half-back and Kevin Daly gets a starting berth at full-forward.

Daly is one of six players who featured for the county’s minor hurling side that defeated Clare earlier this month in the Munster championship. Cormac Curran, Tom Devine, Willie Hahessy, Conor Gleeson, Daly and Paul O’Connor are the dual stars.
