GAA club fixtures for the week ahead

The dates, times and venues for this week’s key club games around the country.

HERE’S THE DETAILS on this weekend’s GAA club action.

In Connacht the focus is on hurling with just one major game in the province as the Galway semi-final replay takes place.

Gort and St Thomas drew 0-9 apiece last week and they return to Athenry on Sunday for their replay clash as they bid for the right to face Loughrea in the decider.

Sunday November 4th
Galway SHC semi-final replay:
Gort v St Thomas, Kenny Park, Athenry, 1pm

In Leinster, hurling leads the way as well with the opening games in this year’s provincial senior club championship set to be contested. There are three first round ties with Parnell Park, Dr Cullen Park and O’Moore Park the venues.

It is the 2012 senior county champions of Dublin, Wexford, Carlow, Offaly, Laois and Westmeath who will all be in action.

Sunday November 4th
Leinster Club SHC quarter-finals:
Kilmacud Crokes (Dublin) v Oulart-The-Ballagh (Wexford), Parnell Park, 2.30pm; Mount Leinster Rangers (Carlow) v Kilcormac-Killoughey (Offaly), Dr Cullen Park, Carlow, 2.30pm; Rathdowney-Errill (Laois) v Clonkill (Westmeath), O’Moore Park, Portlaoise, 2.30pm.

In Munster, it is Gaelic football that is on the agenda. The opening ties in the provincial senior club championship with quarter-final are pencilled in with action in Quilty in West Clare and Clonakilty in West Cork.

The county champions from Clare, Kerry, Cork and Limerick will all be bidding to make their mark. And there is also the last two senior county finals of the year in Munster scheduled for next Sunday afternoon.

In Thurles the Tipperary decider will be a battle between Clonmel Commercials and Thomas McDonagh’s while in Dungarvan the Waterford final will feature The Nire up against Stradbally.

Munster Club SFC quarter-finals:
Kilmurry-Ibrickane (Clare) v Dr Crokes (Kerry), Quilty, 2pm; Castlehaven (Cork) v Dromcollogher-Broadford (Limerick), Clonakilty, 2pm.
Tipperary SFC final: Clonmel Commercials v Thomas McDonagh’s, Semple Stadium, Thurles, 2.30pm.
Waterford SFC final: Stradbally v The Nire, Fraher Field, Dungarvan, 3pm.

Finally in Ulster, the biggest club game of the year in the home of the 2012 All-Ireland champions Donegal will be a meeting of Naomh Conaill and St Eunan’s.

And also in the northern province, there are three quarter-finals pencilled in for the senior club championship. The senior football kingpins of Fermanagh, Antrim, Monaghan, Down, Tyrone and Derry will all face off.

Ulster Club SFC quarter-finals: Tempo (Fermanagh) v St Gall’s (Antrim), Brewster Park, Enniskillen, 2.30pm; Ballybay (Monaghan) v Kilcoo (Down), St Tiernach’s Park, Clones, 2.30pm; Errigal Ciaran (Tyrone) v Ballinderry (Derry), Healy Park, Omagh, 2.30pm.

Quirke to be marked absent for start of Cork’s 2013 campaign
