BY THIS STAGE, you’ve probably heard that disgraced former Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong is to sit down for a “no-holds-barred” interview with US chat show queen Oprah Winfrey next week.
The reaction to the announcement has been predictably muted with no shortage of sceptics predicting crocodile tears from Lance as he bats away softball questions about doping allegations.
Nobody wants to see that — we want to see skin and hair fly as Lance opens up and tells all — and former Liverpool and Germany footballer turned sometime RTÉ pundit Didi Hamann knows just the man for the job.
