LIAM DUNNE’S REIGN as Wexford senior hurling boss will extend for a further two years after last night’s county board meeting.
The decision to offer Dunne another term of office in charge of the Model County was unanimous.
Dunne has been in charge for the past two seasons with the 2013 campaign seeing Wexford exit the Leinster championship after a replay against Dublin.
They then took All-Ireland finalists Clare to extra-time before bowing out in the qualifiers in July.
The 1996 All-Ireland winner will now hope to make progress in 2014 with his first task being to try and take Wexford out of Division 1B of the Allianz hurling league.
