Perfect start for Liverpool with an early goal in Europa League semi-final

The Reds had another one of those historic nights at Anfield.

LIVERPOOL WERE in action in the Europa League semi-final second leg at Anfield tonight.

Having lost out 1-0 to Villarreal a week ago, the Reds levelled the tie after seven minutes thanks to an own-goal.

Nathaniel Clyne’s cross was beaten away by goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, but Roberto Firmino fired the ball back across goal.

Daniel Sturridge made minimal contact and Villarreal defender Bruno Soriano put the ball into his own net.
