IAGO ASPAS IS set to join Liverpool with the Merseyside club confirming tonight that they have agreed a deal “in principle” for the striker.
Aspas, 25, will join from Celta Vigo in a deal reported to be worth around £7.5 million, subject to documentation being completed.
The move was delayed last night and Aspas flew home with his team citing “bureaucratic difficulties.”
But the Spaniard is now set to become Brendan Rodgers’ second summer signing following Kolo Touré’s move from Manchester City on a free transfer.
Aspas scored 12 times in La Liga last season as Celta narrowly avoided relegation, finishing just one point above the drop zone.
