More bad news for Harte as O'Neill handed 12-week ban.
TYRONE MANAGER MICKEY Harte will have to plan without key defender Sean O’Neill for the rest of the Allianz National Football League.
O’Neill was yesterday hit with a proposed 12-week ban for his part in ugly scenes which marred a recent Sigerson Cup game.
The player featured in the St Mary’s Belfast outfit which was beaten by a single point against NUI Galway. The Ulster students insisted the referee had blown it up the game however and there was angry confrontations on the way into the dressing-room.
The Red Hand player’s university team-mate, Gavin Teague, was handed a similar ban to O’Neill. The news adds to Mickey Harte’s selection concerns in defence with Conor Gormley already on the sidelines after ankle surgery, of course.
