Kildare's 3-in-a-row O'Byrne Cup bid remains on course

The winners of Group 2 and 4 have been decided.

KILDARE AND DIT will join Dublin and Meath in the semi-finals of the Bord Na Mona O’Byrne Cup following wins over UCD and IT Carlow respectively this afternoon.

The two-time defending champions came out on top of Group 2 following a 0-21 to 1-5 victory over UCD in Newbridge to make it 17 games without a loss on home soil.

The Lillywhites will have a chance to make it 18 next week when they take on Group 4 winners DIT in St. Conleth’s Park next Sunday. The students secured their first ever semi-final place with a three point win over IT Carlow.

Paul Brogan grabbed the Dublin side’s only goal of the game as they ran out 1-12 to 1-9 winners in Carlow.

There were also wins for Carlow and Wexford today.
