CRYSTAL PALACE ARE back in the Premier League after they beat Watford 1-0 in a tense Championship Playoff final.

A dull affair at Wembley was settled in the first half of extra time when Kevin Phillips smashed his penalty — estimated to be worth £120 million — high past Manuel Almunia to seal the Eagles’ return to English football’s top flight.

Cork’s Damien Delaney and Dubliner Owen Garvan both played their part as Palace took home the spoils in front of a crowd of over 82,000.
