Retained: Tommy Walsh named in Swans' starting line-up again

The Kerry native has held onto his place at half forward for Saturday’s clash with St Kilda.

ALL IRELAND WINNER Tommy Walsh obviously impressed on his AFL debut last week.

Walsh scored a goal on his debut on the oval pitch in the landslide 138-37 win over the Melbourne Demons.

This morning, Sydney Swans coach John Longmire named the line-up for the away trip to St Kilda and he has retained his two debutants.

“I thought (Walsh and Mike Pyke) did a good job last week,” Longmire said on his club’s website.

“Pykey competed against a top-notch ruckman and Walsh did the same against a top-notch defender, but that was last week and this is this week, so they’ll need to do it again.”

The Swans and Walsh will line out at Melbourne’s Etihad stadium at 7.40 AM on Saturday morning, Irish time.
