EVERTON HAVE CONFIRMED the appointment of Roberto Martinez as their new manager on a four-year contract.
The Spaniard, who becomes the Toffees’ 14th permanent manager, will be officially unveiled at a press conference this afternoon.
Martinez’s move to Merseyside has been an open secret since Everton agreed a compensation package, thought to be worth £1.5m, to secure his release from relegated Wigan.
The job will be his third in English football following initial success at Swansea, where he won promotion to Championship, and Wigan who dodged relegation in his first three seasons.
