Snow joke: Casey dislocates shoulder on Colorado slopes

Paul Casey has been ruled out of action for up to two months following a snowboarding accident.

PAUL CASEY LOOKS set to miss the first two months of the new golf season following a snowboarding accident.

The world number 20 dislocated his shoulder while on holidays in Colorado and has been advised to rest up for a few weeks before returning to the course.

The setback means that Casey will not be able to defend his Volvo Golf Champions title when the tournament returns to South Africa later this month.

He is also likely to miss the European Tour’s entire Middle East schedule, including the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship where he won in 2007 and in 2009.

“I am very frustrated as I was really looking forward to getting off to a fast start in 2012,” the Englishman told EuropeanTour.com.

The good news is that the experts I’ve seen say I don’t need surgery and, having already started my rehabilitation exercises, I should be back hitting balls in a few weeks.
