ASTON VILLA HAVE offered to trial what they call ‘safe-standing’ at Villa Park to see if it will work in the Premier League an official for the club was quoted as saying today.

Standing at all Premier League and Championship matches has been banned since 1994 while clubs in League One and Two are allowed standing sections.

A vote of the 72 Football League clubs in early February saw the majority in favour of bringing back standing in the Championship and Lee Preece, Aston Villa’s football operations manager, told the BBC today that up to ‘seven or eight’ Premier League clubs were also open to the idea.

So what we want to know today is, would you be in favour to a return to standing at Premier League grounds?

Poll Results:

No (651)
Don't know (264)
Yes (109)
